The title is not a mistake, i did not mean Friend or Foe, a foe is an enemy or someone who certainly is not a friend, a faux is a fake, a fraud, somebody who maybe you thought was a friend.
I don't think you ever really know who your true friends are until a life changing event occurs, for me it was moving to a different country.... 6 years ago i moved to Spain to help my parents set up their business, in England i was working a lot and partying a lot and it was getting boring, i had no idea what i wanted to do in the future and had left college with qualifications in art & design ( not many career choices to follow that). So i was ready for a new change and a new life.
What i didn't expect though was for the majority of my friends to completely forget that i exist, within 6 months of leaving only about half of my friends had bothered to keep in touch, within a year it was down to about 10 people and now only about 6 people keep in touch , with today's technology i don't really think there are many excuses, everybody is on facebook and have mobile phones most with free messaging services. The thing is you are just one person going missing from their lives, they still have everybody else around them but for you, you have lost everyone.
I was popular, i had a lot of friends, but I'm quite glad i found out early on which ones were worth bothering with and which weren't...
