Reasons why...

I will never "make it" as a beauty blogger:

1. Probably the most important reason- living in Spain, most big brand beauty products that are available in say the UK or USA do not even arrive in Spain for at least 6 months, therefore a million reviews have already been done and the product has been forgotten about before i can even get excited that it has arrived here.

2. I don't own a single MAC product, to some people this might seem unbelievable, even more so that i have never even seen a MAC store or counter, although if i had i am sure i would have bought something then.

3. Lack of followers, i guess having a lot of followers proves that yours is a "must read" blog, i obviously do not have many followers, i don't know if anybody actually reads my blog and to be honest i was quite disappointed that this world seems to revolve around people saying "i´ll follow you if you follow me". I want people to read my blog because they enjoy it, not because i had to ask them to follow me (which i wouldn't do).

4.Lack of money, a main issue for a lot of people i´m sure. I earn very little money, i rarely go out for meals etc and i don't drink so i do occasionally treat myself to a few makeup items, but they are very rarely high end brands as i simply cannot afford them as much as i would love to try the things that i see being reviewed on blog and YouTube etc it is just not possible for me.

5. Looks- i know every beauty blogger is not drop dead gorgeous and one persons idea of beautiful is not the same as someones elses, however i do think people tend to take beauty advice from the more beautiful people. I don't consider myself ugly but i know i am not gorgeous and therefore will probably not be taken as seriously.

5. YouTube- i don't believe there are many beauty bloggers that don't also have a YouTube channel and whilst it is a great platform for introducing yourself to the world, sharing your views and drumming up support for your blog it is something that i would not be prepared to do. I do not have the time, equipment or the confidence and if that means my blog gets less readers then that's just the way it is.

will this stop me blogging? of course not, i write this blog for me, as an outlet for my findings and feelings on certain things, i would like for other people to enjoy it too and i think some feedback on blog posts would be gratefully received as it is the interaction within the blogging community that first inspired me to blog in the first place.
